Love the fact that I live in Florida...my son is in college in Tampa and loves it...Glad you had some decompression time. As an aside, I looked over your website and love the Infrared shots you took!! I used to shoot back in the day and infrared with its contrast is magical!!

Thanks for checking out my work. Infrared is magical! If you know anyone hiring a multimedia producer/writer/audio editor I'm looking in Florida now and also remote.

Well-written and as always great photos. What is your travel camera choice? Tampa is nice, and you can drive down to Ft. Myers or Naples. Plus Lego Land is nearby!

Usually I have a hard time narrowing down to one camera and one lens but with the Fujifilm X100V I did just that. If I had to pick one that would be it. Packed light with just a backpack. This post could have been twice as long there's a lot I did not get into. Tampa has a whole hour + more sun in a day than we do in New York right now. Some great breweries too.

Thank you for your courage. Glad to see the south is becoming seen as a safe space. I grew up in and currently live again in Georgia. When I hit my late teens I started hating it here because I thought the place was full of racist rednecks. Now in Covid land I feel like this is the land of the free, and I’m extremely grateful to be living in Georgia.

The South is beautiful. I can relate growing up in Virginia to the backwards impression from some people. So it was surprising and sad seeing it in such a public and prevalent way in New York. Georgia was great when I passed through in 2013. Had a chance to watch a presidential debate at a bar in Athens and met a guy that worked for Carter. Great commentary.

Reminds me when I lived in Denver for a few years, and came to visit family in Georgia. In Denver it’s beautiful with the mountains, but they’re distant. There’s nothing but buildings and a few parks there. When I got back to Georgia the beauty and intimacy of the trees just blew me away. I totally forgot how nice it was to have woods in your backyard.

How long has it been since you drove? I remember when I was a Marine at Andrews AFB. We had a young Marine who grew up in Brooklyn and had never driven. Unfortunately, his job in the Marines was driving a tow tractor, moving F-4 Phantom aircraft around the flight line. Before you can drive a tow tractor, you need a regular state issued driver's license. After a few white-knuckle driving lessons around the DC freeways, he got his MD license. Luckily, none of the instructors cars (or nerves) suffered any permanent damage. After driving the roads to your parents house, I have full confidence you'll quickly regain your driving skills. Be sure to drop me a line NAtime you are in VA.
