I nearly moved to Tampa Bay this year. The house-buying process didn't work out. Alex and I are in a "wait and save" pattern helping my family out on their Virginia farm. While shopping around Tampa, we gathered it's a potential target for hurricanes. But everyone we talked to there seemed to think it was a rare, once in a 100-year event. The city faces countless intense thunderstorms passing through quickly during the day. Fast forward two months, and now they are bracing for one of these once in a hundred year storms.
If I wanted to be a crackpot I might insinuate that it's a response to DeSantis Airlines. I don’t actually believe that but the timing is interesting.
